Start your job searchMarks Sattin are working with a well established FMCG / Wholesale business in the Walsall area to recruit an ambitious Commercial Finance Analyst to join their growing finance function.
My client distribute their products to the major supermarkets across the UK and following major growth and expansion they have created this role, which would be perfect for an ambitious Finance Analyst seeking support and guidance to become a well-rounded finance professional. The Commercial Finance Analyst will be well supported by an experienced Finance Manager and will also gain great exposure to exciting new projects. There is a real opportunity for growth and development and there could not be a greater time to join!
Key responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Analyst include:
- Engaging with various stakeholders across the breadth of the buisness, e.g. the wider finance team, sales, marketing and operations
- Sales and Margin analysis and reporting
- Providing commercial insight and analysis on business performance to aid key decisions by the Senior Leadership Team
- Supporting the wider finance team with the Month end process
- Supporting the Commercial Finance Manager with the further development of business reporting (utilising Business Intelligence tools)
- Support the Budget and quarterly forecast process
- Supporting with adhoc project work where required
To be considered you will:
- Ideally be studying towards an accounting qualification
- Ideally you will have previously worked in an analytical role
- Be a strong Excel user and will ideally have some exposure to BI tools, i.e. PowerBI or Qlik
- Have excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders
- A proactive individual with a continuous improvement mindset
