Commercial finance business partner required for a leading international FMCG organisation in Worksop. This is a great opportunity to work for a well established and ever expanding business in a role which will enable you work across the business with various stakeholders. This is a position where adding value and driving change is a minimum requirement.

Our client is looking for a proven commercially focused accountant with a track record of improving reporting to increase understanding and improve insight in an ever changing working environment. The exposure this role will give you will enable you gain the experience to make the move into a commercial FC or FD role.

Role details:

Budgets & Forecasts

  • Prepare volume, sales and contribution budgets and forecasts for customers including insightful analysis as to movements and keys risks and opportunities
  • With procurement prepare PPV information for budgets and forecasts

Commercial support

  • Partner with Commercial Account Controllers and Account Managers
  • Work to continually improve reporting to increase understanding and improve insight
  • Attend customer period reviews providing challenge and support. Ensure meetings are action orientated
  • Provide overhead business partnering support and challenge in respect of Commercial, NPD and marketing cost centres
  • Refresh Post Launch Review meeting process to ensure that learning's are captured and are converted into 'do differently' with meetings truly adding value to the business
  • Ensure there is a clear and communicated process for product costing sign off with Commercial
  • Maximise customer margins through the provision of insight, analysis and support

Purchasing support

  • Ensure reporting of PPV is in place with past and future forecasted variances understood and effectively communicated into Commercial
  • Support the procurement link into commercial by converting commodity pricing movements into the impact to a customer

Other

  • Work on specific projects (e.g. network capacity maximisation, new site investment decisions & other key business unit strategic initiatives)
  • Ad hoc duties as required

In order to be considered:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA)
  • Proven commercial finance experience in an FMCG or retail environment
  • Experience of dealing with the major multiples
  • Outstanding data manipulation skills using MS excel
