CONTRACT MANAGER - Major sporting event in 2022

Working alongside a world class organising committee for the next major sporting event to come to the UK, this is a truly exceptional opportunity.

You will be directly involved in all aspects of contract management for multi-location areas and you'll be part of ensuring that all aspects of delivery are completed as efficiently and effectively as possible keeping accessbility and sustainability at the forefront of your mind. This team is responsible for the planning, design and delivery of temporary infrastructure for all venues including seating, staging, lighting, signage etc.

You will manage contract from tender preparation through planning, implementation, decommissioning to contract close out and, through building key stakeholder relationships, you will provide technical consultation and design support.

On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for the following:

· Working with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and develop scope of work including technical specifications and RFP going to tender

· Participate in tender Q&A, site visits and supplier presentations as the key VDO representative

· Participate in contract negotiations with potential suppliers representing operational requirements and objectives

· Evaluate tender responses as part of the evaluation team

· Act as a key client contact for suppliers on day-to-day basis

· Interface between suppliers and VDO to manage cost, schedule and scope of work

· Manage contract changes by applying defined change management processes

· Initiate the Purchase Orders to be raised and manage the payment milestones and invoicing

· Provide costing estimates and validation for Overlay Managers

· Act as an escalation point for Technical Managers to resolve issues related to commodities

· Identify and develop risk control measures to mitigate potential risks associated with project

· Ensure all contract deliverables are being met including contracted service levels

· Coordinate, facilitate, negotiate, agree and close out final accounts for the contracts
