Marks Sattin has an excellent opportunity for a Controls Accountant to join a leading client. Working in the finance team you will be playing a key role in ensuring effective and robust controls and processes are in place and effective.

Working in a team of 7, you will be playing a key role in the Group Finance function where you will be:

• Working with colleagues across the wider finance function to ensure robust controls are in place and remain effective
• Maintain register of finance's controls and ensure these are effectively designed
• Championing the controls improvement agenda and work with various finance stakeholders to enhance and automate controls
• Supporting other finance teams in designing and documenting controls for new business areas
• In addition this role encompases some accounting period end management including balance sheet reconciliations

Ideally you will be fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have experience working in a position with strong controls focus coupled with analytical thinking.

You willhave:

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong controls focus, analytical thinking and excellent numerical skills
• Strong IT skills and Advanced level Microsoft Excel
• A strong sense of ownership for the delivery of plans and projects
• Experience in an audit or internal audit role would be beneficial
