Marks Sattin are partnering with a global accountancy firm, who are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join their Birmingham office. You'll be part of an office that cover all forms of finance, and lead a team of dedicated tax specialists. Your remit would cover a broad range of companies, from owner managed businesses to multinational groups. The role involves large amounts of client exposure, so excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
If successful, your key responsibilities will include;
- Undertaking consultancy work.
- Managing a small portfolio of compliance cases, and a large portfolio of advisory cases.
- Providing top quality client service.
- Preparation of R&D claims.
- Liaising with Partners.
- Management of your own team, including training and employee appraisals.
- Active involvement in business development
Key competencies would include;
- Ability to work in a team whilst supporting others.
- Ability to deliver excellent client service.
- Proven technical ability.
- Excellent communication abilities - both verbal and written.
- Ability to solve problems in a pragmatic and logical way.
- Ability to generate new business in a highly competitive environment.
