Credit Supervisor

£22,000 - 25,000 + Flexible benefits, East Leeds

A rapidly expanding SME that provides cleaning services for a number of large blue chip businesses is currently looking to take on an experienced Credit Supervisor.

As an integral part of the credit function you will be responsible for overseeing 2 other members of staff and driving forward the collection process, both as a team and individually to minimise bad debt and bring cash back into the business. You will be relied upon on to build rapport & deliver excellent customer service to ensure that you are providing a robust collection service, whilst being target driven and able to motivate the team to exceed business targets.

Your main duties will be dealing with collections on high volume/low value accounts, compliance, KPI performance and identifying risk then escalating accordingly. You will be responsible for leading the credit team from the front; achieving this by getting your sleeves rolled up and actively developing relations with client's accounts payables functions to build rapport and understand the end to end process for each client. You will also be expected to direct and motivate the team of 2 that report into you.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years experience in credit control in a small/medium sized business. What's more you will have proven success in a fast paced credit control environment dealing with a variety of businesses ranging from large professional blue chip organisations to smaller independent traders/SME. And, as well as good negotiation & persuasion skills, you'll need an ability to communicate effectively with your team to ensure they are achieving & exceeding targets.
