The organisation are looking for a CTO reporting directly into the CIO and leading the scale up journey for. The organisation is offering a fantastic base salary and one of the best benefits packages around. They are based in Leeds city centre and you will need to be in the office three times a week.
Role
Responsible for implementation of the organisations technology strategy and the establishment and maintenance of a technology estate that supports the wider strategy.
Core responsibilities;
- Define, develop, and maintain the technology architecture and lifecycle delivery roadmap for the technology estate.
- Devise, establish and manage a technology governance approach including policies, standards, and procedures for IT services appropriate for a financial services organisation.
- Consult senior-level stakeholders across the bank to identify business and technology needs and to optimise the use of technology.
- Provide reliable, stable, secure, and responsive technology services that meet the needs and risk acceptance profile of the organisation.
- Deliver the technology and systems dimension within the wider operational resilience framework, including BC/DR plans.
- In accordance with the IT and wider strategies, plan and control the technology budget and report on variances and expenditure.
- Oversee and assist in building relationships with vendors, create cost-efficient contracts and manage escalations to resolution.
- Provide effective leadership and management of the Technology function to deliver a responsive service with a focus on continuous improvement and a customer-centric culture.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends and drive innovation by identifying opportunities to apply new technologies to solve business challenges
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's technology infrastructure. Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of technology systems and networks.
Knowledge, Skill and Experience requirements
Technical
Essential
- Demonstrable experience of Technology delivery with a successful track record of delivering and operating effective IT Solutions.
- Relationship management, including demonstrable experience of representing IT with C-Suite, Senior Management colleagues and 3rd party Service Providers.
- Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex solutions in a business context.
- Strong commitment to delivering excellent service with an attention to detail.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and resourcing.
- Demonstrable experience of operating effectively in a challenging delivery focused environment containing blended teams (e.g., permanent, contract, vendor, managed service providers and systems integrators)
- Defining, transforming, and managing an IT function.
Desirable
- Good knowledge of TOGAF, ITIL and COBIT 5 frameworks.
- Good knowledge of Prince2, Agile and DevSecOps delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of broader Change Management principles, practices, and methodologies.
