Listed oil and gas exploration and production company has a new posting for a Finance Manager to be based at one of their asset sites in West Asia. As the project moves from appraisal through to development, the Finance Manager will be responsible for leading the day-to-day finance operations, ensuring group policies, processes and controls are implemented, as well as developing and training a high potential in-country finance team.
The successful applicant will report to the London HQ, providing key management information whilst working closely with the Development & Production Manager. Operating in a rapidly expanding economy, key responsibilities will including designing and implementing appropriate finance processes and controls; overseeing all transactions and ensuring that all are recorded under IFRS; provide input into areas of operational strategy and risk assessment and management where appropriate.
An internationally recognised finance qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA) and practical experience in an upstream extractive environment (mining/energy/services) reporting under IFRS are all key criteria, whilst the gravitas to develop an expanding local finance team is essential too.
