Start your job searchA multinational transport and logistics business based in London is currently seeking a Finance Analyst to join their fast-paced finance function.
The role will be responsible for management reporting, financial forecasting and analysis, transformation projects, and providing insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Duties include:
- Provide business insight into the key business decisions through reporting and analysis.
- Promote and support process improvement and change through automation and standardization, to increase efficiency.
- Identify areas of cost within the relevant business area and seek explanations for the causes in fluctuations to the cost base.
- Support business case process by ensuring proposals have all the necessary information for decision making to protect company assets.
- Tracking of market trends to support the identification of business opportunities and threats.
- Adhere to all corporate, statutory, and regulatory requirements including group instructions and reporting standards.
- Actively build and maintain strong relationships with finance and non-finance colleagues at all levels across brands within the group.
- Additional ad-hoc analysis and project work to support the wider team and business.
The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) either from an audit background or having progressed in industry. Candidates must have practical technical accounting experience including reporting and financial analysis. This role would be best suited to someone with strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels inside and outside of finance. Candidates must have strong systems and Excel capabilities with the drive and ambition to add value and support with business cases.
