Start your job searchA global media publishing business based in central London is currently seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their fast pace team. Reporting in to one of the Finance Directors, responsibilities will include:
- Business partnering with divisions across the business including editorial, publishing and marketing
- Producing title P&Ls for acquisitions and reviewing offers for bonus
- Budget and forecasting
- Preparing and circulating monthly management packs for key stakeholders in the division
- Review of overhead accounting at month end
- Working closely with the management accounts team to ensure all journals are posted accurately and one time
- Review of management accounts before submission to the senior management team
- Producing valuable Sales and P&L commentary to be sent to the key stakeholders across the business
- Preparing divisional specific profit share and commission calculations
- Reviewing key author royalty statements and liaise with royalty team over legal fee matters
- Working alongside the FD to support internal and external audits
- Ad hoc supporting activity as required by business needs, including significant projects / acquisitions
This role would be best suited to someone who has worked in a financial analysis, or commercial management accounting position. Ideally, you will have experience business partnering with teams outside of finance, with strong communication and analytical skills. Candidates must have the ability to build strong relationships, good organization and possess proven decision-making skills. Previous experience working within the media-publishing sector would be highly desirable. Candidates must have strong Excel skills and previous use of SAP would be advantageous.
