Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting for a a highly analytical and strategic Finance Business Partner on a 9 month FTC in Preston. In this role, you will assess the commercial viability of business initiatives and provide data-backed recommendations to management. You will lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, creating complex financial models that ensure detailed, accurate, and timely planning. Your insights will enable us to monitor performance, identify opportunities and risks, and achieve our EBITDA targets.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders to drive profitability and support decision-making.
- Act as a key stakeholder in the weekly trading forum, providing commercial insights, identifying opportunities and risks, and challenging other stakeholders as needed.
- Lead data-driven decision-making initiatives across the business by delivering reliable and accessible business data analytics and reporting.
- Manage the provision of timely management information (MI) for trade-facing operations, conducting ROI analysis for trade-related incentives and opportunities to optimize financial performance.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders across our wholesale B2B businesses and internal departments as required.
About you:
- Extensive experience in commercial or financial roles, ideally within the retail industry.
- Recognised as a credible leader with a proven track record of achieving positive commercial results.
- Commercially astute with a keen eye for improving revenue and profits.
- Highly numerate and analytical, self-motivated, and solution-oriented.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Proficient in reporting and presentation
