A creative group based in London is currently seeking a new Finance Director to lead the finance team. The role will be responsible for overseeing day to day financial matters and providing financial advice to the board on strategic matters to ensure the ongoing financial health and success of the group.

Responsibilities include:

• Reporting to board on all financial matters to contribute to financial strategy
• Long term forecasting and strategic modelling to support business development
• Support on M&A activity and any integration
• Development of the finance team to ensure the group operate efficiently
• Management of key financial partners, including auditors, advisors and banks
• Partnering with the investment team
• Key stakeholder to ensure ERP systems & developments meet financial needs of the group
• Additional project work to support the CEO and board

Oversight of the finance function of 15 people, and management of 3 direct reports including oversight of:

• Financial reporting, management accounts and financial close
• Budget and forecasting processes
• Year-end accounting & statutory compliance / audit
• Transactional finance including Account Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Control and Cash Management
• Cash flow forecasting
• Tax & Compliance (UK and overseas subsidiaries, with management of appropriate advisors)

Suitable candidates for this role will have experience leading a finance function and will have partnered with senior stakeholders at board level. Candidates must be qualified (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with a minimum of 5-10 years PQE. Experience with financial modelling and international trade and compliance is desirable, with proven experience of automation and process improvement to help drive efficiencies.
