An opportunity has arisen to work with a fantastic retail company that has grown from a start up to an iconic and well regarded British brand in just a short period of time. The company is seeking its first Finance Director in order to continue the planned growth of the business through to its next exciting stage and eventually a strategic exit.

The business is renowned for their quality products for both retail and commercial consumers. Therefore, the role requires a structured and well trained individual to dive into this entrepreneurial business with a hands-on and dynamic approach. As well as maintaining relationships with third party services including advisors, lawyers and auditors, the successful candidate will also be called upon to provide guidance on financial strategies to help secure brand objectives.

Reporting to the CEO, this role will need the individual to have top notch academics, as well as excellent knowledge about accounting technical processes and systems. The candidate will have responsibility for the full finance function team including management and support of accounts. Prior experience overseeing exit, as well as developing reports and monitoring businesses growth, is preferable.

This is an ideal opportunity for a determined and exceptionally commercially astute candidate to join an upward moving business on course for a successful and financially rewarding future. This role would suit an FD from retail/ related consumer background, or a FC from a larger business that has had experience in corporate finance and private equity who is looking to step up into a number one role.
