Finance Manager - Maidenhead (hybrid) - £60,000 to £70,000

We are pleased to be working in conjunction with privately owned, £500m turnover business as they look to hire a Finance Manager, this is a newly created role where you will be tasked with managing central overheads & budgetary reporting (circa £20m), sales team costs (circa £13m) and operational central teams (circa £5m).

A bit more about the role....

  • Own the production of Management Accounts, budgets & forecasts including commentary & variance bridges
  • Developing a strong controls environment with efficient financial processes & automation tools
  • Streamline reporting and optimise systems to more focus on business partnering
  • Manage controls -e.g signoff of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide financial information to relevant stakeholders including local Board, internal customers-departmental owners
  • Manage & support your Assistant Accountant as they complete general accruals, postings, journals and general reconciliations
  • Query resolution (process and specific transactions)
  • Maintenance of group fixed assets and capex expenditure
  • Provide KPI's to the operating board and budget holders
  • Assist in preparation of business cases, investment appraisal & management of investment programmes
  • Capex forecast
  • Capex reporting
  • Present budget & forecast
  • Prepare the central overheads pack for reporting
  • Monthly reconciliations produced and reviewed of central prepayments and accruals
  • Maintain fixed asset register & manage all reporting, depreciation and impairment exercises

A bit about you....

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified
  • A strong technical background, you'll need to be familiar with UK GAAP & IFRS and up to date with new accounting standards
  • Proficient in the use of systems to create reports & analysis
  • Experience of controls for a "hands on" implementation perspective in a high volume environment
  • Proficient in various finance systems with a track record of automating processes
  • You'll need to have post qualification experience working within large companies in industry
