Description
- Overall responsibility for the accuracy and control of the accounts systems and procedures.
- Management of month end procedures and preparation of reports for Board approval
- Management of monthly accounts and commercial review
- Courteous and authoritative credit control
- Assessment of subcontractor and client financial stability
- Weekly report to Board and senior commercial team of progress against forecasts regarding project financials
- Attend Monthly Management Meetings and prepare information for same
- Accurate production of salaries and staff allocations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection at all times
- Ensuring compliance with taxation obligations, including VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax
- Manage the relationship between software databases
- Credit Agencies- Liaise with and monitor ratings with agencies for sub contractor and client review and bond position with bond providers
- Monthly balance sheet, WIP, ETB, Retention reconciliations
- Maintain Fixed Asset schedules, advising on best practice for depreciation, capital allowances and other tax implications
- Continuous management of cashflow including rolling 13 week, annual, and project related cashflows
- Management of working capital and maximisation of liquidity at all times
- Employment of a strong Treasury strategy where possible
- Liaison and management of relationships with bank and other statutory authorities
- Management of annual audit
Profile
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role and/or an accountancy qualification
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Methodical approach to duties
- Must have industry experience (Construction)
