Description

• Overall responsibility for the accuracy and control of the accounts systems and procedures.
• Management of month end procedures and preparation of reports for Board approval
• Management of monthly accounts and commercial review
• Courteous and authoritative credit control
• Assessment of subcontractor and client financial stability
• Weekly report to Board and senior commercial team of progress against forecasts regarding project financials
• Attend Monthly Management Meetings and prepare information for same
• Accurate production of salaries and staff allocations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection at all times
• Ensuring compliance with taxation obligations, including VAT, CIS and Corporation Tax
• Manage the relationship between software databases
• Credit Agencies- Liaise with and monitor ratings with agencies for sub contractor and client review and bond position with bond providers
• Monthly balance sheet, WIP, ETB, Retention reconciliations
• Maintain Fixed Asset schedules, advising on best practice for depreciation, capital allowances and other tax implications
• Continuous management of cashflow including rolling 13 week, annual, and project related cashflows
• Management of working capital and maximisation of liquidity at all times
• Employment of a strong Treasury strategy where possible
• Liaison and management of relationships with bank and other statutory authorities
• Management of annual audit

Profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role and/or an accountancy qualification
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Methodical approach to duties
• Must have industry experience (Construction)
