Start your job searchMarks Sattin have been engaged by a growing business in Birmingham City Centre to recruit a Qualified Finance Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and report into an experienced Head of FP&A. As a senior member of the finance team, you will need strong analytical skills together with the ability to communicate across business functions and at all levels. Business Partnering across commercial, sales, operations and delivery teams, displaying the confidence and gravitas to support and challenge at all levels throughout the organisation.
This role is new to the business which makes it a really exciting time to join their awesome team!
Responsibilities include -
- Prepare monthly management accounts for all areas of Operating and Capital expenditure
- Manage the monthly payroll process across the group, including all statutory reporting
- Management and effective close of the month end process ensuring all deadlines are met
- Prepare insightful P&L and Balance sheet analysis and commentary
- Prepare monthly project reviews for specific areas of the business or areas of focus
- Oversee budget management and periodic reforecasting
- Develop, deliver and maintain robust accounting systems & processes to ensure the integrity of day to day accounting
- Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to support the annual Audit and prepare inputs for the production of the Statutory Accounts
- People management of a small team of Finance Analysts and Assistant Accountants
Requirements -
- Qualified Accountant
- Proactively drive a continuous improvement "can-do" attitude, particularly looking to challenge the status quo, and help find new more efficient ways of doing things
- Has great attention to detail. Able to consistently deliver 'right first time'
- Brilliant attitude - friendly, personable, open
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to interact at all levels
- Strong influencing skills, able to challenge stakeholders at all levels
- Have an analytical mind set
