A privately owned engineering company operating across the north is looking for a Finance Planning Manager to join their expanding team. This is an interim or interim-to-permanent role for a high calibre individual to deliver outstanding support and analysis in order to drive the business forward. Reporting in to the CFO, you will be responsible for managing the group's financial planning team, leading on corporate finance, pricing and shareholder requirements. By regularly interacting with the CFO and other managers across all directorates, you will be continually exposed to the senior team, providing an opportunity to demonstrate your skills in a dynamic and progressive environment.

Responsibilities for this role will include:

• Leading a team of planning analysts to ensure business planning and analysis is completed to a high standard;
• Coordinating the Company's annual business planning process and producing a business plan for review by the CFO;
• Building and maintaining relationships with business performance managers to continually identify and determine the basis of forecasts;
• Demonstrating a detailed understanding of the group's corporate structure and financial instruments to inform business planning and cash optimisation;
• Managing the production of quarterly valuation and meeting the shareholder fund requirements ensuring the support valuation model and analysis is prepared in good time.

The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level and a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with significant planning experience within a large organisation. You must also be able to demonstrate an ability to convert detailed spreadsheet analysis into clear decision support information. Excellent management skills, the ability to adapt your style and extensive business planning and modelling experience are also essential for this role. This role would suit individuals from a corporate finance background or with group treasury experience.
