My client are a global media business who are seeking a highly motivated Finance Automation Project Manager to lead the transformation of our financial workflows. This role is pivotal in driving automation initiatives across our ERP system, integrating AI-powered tools to eliminate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting, paired with hands-on experience in automating finance operations such as reconciliations, journal entries, and invoice processing. You'll collaborate closely with finance, systems, and technology teams to deliver scalable, intelligent solutions that improve accuracy, reduce manual effort, and support real-time decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Finance Systems Manager to deliver workflow optimisation projects within our ERP system (NetSuite).
  • Analyse existing finance processes to identify automation opportunities and areas for simplification.
  • Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and governance frameworks for transformation initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of automation projects.
  • Support change management activities including training, communication, and adoption strategies.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
  • Strong background in accounting, audit, or finance operations, with a solid understanding of compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) in a global or complex organisational environment.
  • Demonstrated success in transforming finance workflows, particularly in high-volume or complex settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter with leadership capabilities and the ability to mentor and influence others.
  • Track record of managing multiple workstreams and delivering results in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating accounting workflows using AI tools (e.g., GenAI copilots, UiPath, Automation Anywhere).
  • Proficiency with data and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL.
