Marks Sattin are partnering a private equity backed business in the Worcester area who are looking to recruit a technically astute Financial Accountant to act as a senior member of the financial accounting team.

This role would suit a recently qualified candidate, potentially seeking your first role into industry as my client wants someone whom they can develop once they are brought on board - industry trained accountants are still of high interest. In this role you will be exposed to a broad array of technical elements which will benefit you throughout the remainder of your career.

As Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of annual and half-year accounts, managing and implementing new policies, procedures and controls and the production of annual statutory accounts.

Other key responsibilities include:

• Ownership of key financial accounting aspects of the business.
• Management of the audit process and working closely with external and internal auditors.
• Aspects of Cash & Treasury management.
• Line management and professional development of two Assistant Accountants

To be considered for the position of Financial Accountant, candidates must be ACCA or ACA qualified with the ability to communicate with both finance and non-finance at all levels.

Up to £45,000 basic salary on offer along with bonus, pension and private medical care
