A Boutique Independent Investment Bank is looking for a Financial Controller to join the finance team in their plush City offices. The role will report directly into the CFO. The firm has a strong reputation in the market and has aggressive growth plans over the next 3 years. This organisation offers a great opportunity for anyone who is looking to contribute more than just finance, with an emphasis on Strategic decision making and preparing the business for growth.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Manage all aspects all aspects of Accounting & Finance.
- Balance sheet reconciliations.
- Create solid Management Information packs for clearly defined decision making.
- P&L for the month and the YTD with actual, budget and variance in value and percentage.
- Production of detailed cash flow forecasts.
- Work with the Directors to produce the annual P&L budget.
- Oversee and review the work of the more junior members of the team.
Candidates must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CA/ACMA), or equivalent, with at least three years post qualified experience. It's imperative that you have worked in a banking environment or similar. You must be autonomous in your approach and be confident in making important financial decisions. It's essential that you have strong verbal and written communication skills as you'll be liaising with stakeholders and clients on all levels. An advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a necessity.
