Leading retail business based in East London is currently recruiting a Financial Controller to join their business. It's an excellent opportunity with a clear route to Head of Finance in the next 12-18 months.

Reporting into the Finance Director your role will involve:

• Developing a highly skilled, high functioning team.
• Overseeing the presentation of monthly management accounts and Group Board reports.
• Implementing robust financial & management accounting controls.
• Implementing best practise month-end closure process.
• Developing new policies where necessary.
• Driving continuous improvement across finance and operational areas.
• Presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
• Deputising for Finance Director in certain areas, as required.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with previous experience of leading a team. Previous experience of working for a consumer business will be highly desirable.
