Start your job searchA Construction group, based in Wakefield are looking to appoint a Financial Management Accountant. As the number 1 Finance role on site, your duties will encompass a wide variety of tasks. As the business continues to grow, as it has done year on year, the vision for this role is for it to develop into a Finance Director role, growing the team gradually.
After a recent new system implementation, this business are looking for an all-round accountant with analytical abilities, who is able to extract and dissect date in order to maximise profit and drive down cost.
Duties will include:
- Overall control of the company's accounting and job costing systems
- To oversee and be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts. These are to include variance analyses on contracts and overheads
- To prepare budgets/forecasts and compare actual results against these
- To oversee the job costing system, and to provide ongoing review of actual income, costs and margins being achieved on a contract by contract basis
- To assist the managing director/board in selection and management of services and utilities
- To provide information required to the company's external auditors
The suitable candidate should be:
- Experience in production of management accounts to company board
- Experience of computerised job costing systems in a contracting environment
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA Qualified or a strong QBE
- Experience of using Sage systems
