Job Title: Financial Reporting Accountant



An established wealth and asset management company is seeking a skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join their London-based finance team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. Our client is an innovative, quality-driven solutions in wealth management, supporting both internal and client financial advisors with efficient, technology-enhanced services.



The successful candidate must be a qualified accountant (preferably ACA qualified with an externla audit background) with a minimum of 5 Years PQE experience. You must also have financial reporting industry experience within Financial Services, but ideally within the asset management/wealth management/buy-side sectors and be immediately available to start employment or have a notice period of no longer than 2 weeks.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Verify that subsidiary reports align with the company's accounting standards.
  • Ensure statutory compliance across all subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the Group Consolidation (UK GAAP), including intercompany loans and eliminations.
  • Ensure financial statements comply fully with FRS 102.
  • Coordinate year-end planning, audit requests, and balance sheet reviews.
  • Prepare consolidated statutory accounts along with subsidiary accounts.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate audits.
  • Prepare quarterly VAT reports for the Group.
  • Support financial reporting on acquisition integrations, including fair value adjustments and goodwill calculations.
  • Embrace a continuous improvement mindset, streamlining processes with key stakeholders.



Job Requirements:


  • Qualified accountant (Preference is ACA but open to CIMA or ACCA)
  • Financial Reporting experience within the Financial Services sector (preference would be within Asset management/investment management or wealth management)
  • Immediately available or notice period of no longer than 2 weeks.
  • Proficiency with Excel is essential; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
  • High attention to detail, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
