A multinational retailer is looking for a Financial SOX Accountant to be responsible for SOC compliance and control matters and work with the EMEA and UK teams. This is a great opportunity with considerable scope for learning and career progression. The role is based in West London and is for an interim period of 6-9 months. The Financial SOX Accountant will ideally have previous experience with SOX controls and will be a qualified accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of the preparation, validation and reporting of Intercompany royalties
• Prepare Quarterly EMEA Balance sheet variance
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley by taking part in/taking a lead role in organising annual SOX testing.
• Assist with EMEA Internal Control Matrix risk rankings, process narratives and control descriptions
• Identify and drive areas of improvement within current processes with the aim of maintaining the current high standard of service provided in a more efficient manner.
• Assist with ad-hoc Tax and Treasury teams
• Prepare of consolidated group management accounts pack to issue to head office
• Prepare of statutory accounts together with being part of the key team corresponding with auditors and ensuring a smooth audit
• Reviewing current group finance systems and implementing new systems

Kew Requirements

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA (or overseas equivalent)
• Strong experience of data analysis
• Strong excel skills important
• Strong knowledge of SAP
