FP&A Analyst

This specialist lender is looking for an FP&A Analyst to join their growing, exciting forward thinking business. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to influence the Bank's Budget and strategic planning and add value to Business areas by assisting them with their planning and new product analysis.

The role:

• Support the co-ordination and preparation of the Bank's annual Budget and related updates throughout the year
• Extensive interaction with the Capital team, Finance Business Partners, Treasury and Risk during the Budget process, offering challenges and support
• Develop comprehensive knowledge of the reporting and planning models, maintain and improve them
• Drive the monthly rolling forecast process including challenge to the businesses of data submitted
• Produce weekly performance report for the Bank's key stakeholders
• Participation in ad-hoc projects within the FP&A team and in other team
• Provide FP&A training as required across the Bank

The successful candidate:

• Extensive analytical experience, with an aptitude for problem solving and decision making
• Confident, articulate, able and willing to challenge peers and seniors
• In-depth knowledge of MS Office packages and Excel in particular, VBA knowledge desirable
• Experience of financial planning experience desirable
• Excellent communication and inter-personal skills, ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
• Strong team player
• Exceptional client skills and desire to add value to businesses
• Ability to prioritize workload, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Desire to continuously learn and improve skills set
• Leadership potential

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 0-2 years PQE
• Strong analytical skills
• Focus on continuous improvement
• Ability to easily determine the key drivers of a result and articulately explain the "story"
• Strong data management and Excel skills- applied use of Excel to advanced level (macros, pivots, reporting, queries etc).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential to liaise and challenge key stakeholders
