A reputable, multinational FTSE listed business based in London is currently seeking their next FP&A hire within the group finance team. The role is newly created due to growth, and reports into the Group Finance Manager of Business Planning.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support with the preparation of the Group's business plan
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for the senior leadership team and board, to contribute to business planning and decision making.
  • Provide analysis and reporting in support of the Group's initiatives, including review and tracking of investment opportunities.
  • Review and analysis of the Group's operating companies and have a key role in providing robust financial planning.
  • Assist with preparation of the Group quarterly financial results
  • Support on cross-Group communication, liaising with operating company finance teams to strengthen working relationships and drive process improvement.
  • Consolidation of sections of the business plan, including review of KPIs
  • Support management with the review of operating entities' business plan submissions
  • Main point of contact for financial matters for the Group's central sustainability team.
  • Review of investment cases for research and early-stage funding into new projects
  • Tracking of project spend and reporting to Sustainability and Finance colleagues.
  • Research and financial tracking and reporting of sustainability amongst other large corporates
  • Assist with production of Group consolidated Cash flow and Balance Sheet statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of Group quarterly financial results.
  • Responsible for the review of the Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) calculation
  • Support on Group consolidation system implementation project and user testing.
  • Ad-hoc reporting, analysis and project work to support the wider team and business.

This role would be best suited to a Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), either from an audit background or someone who has progressed working in industry. Candidates must have goo analytical skills with great attention to detail. Prior experience working in a group finance function or on group audits would be beneficial. Ideally candidates will be systems savvy, and previous involvement in system implementation and process improvement projects is desirable.
