We are recruiting a Finance Manager to control the Group's reporting, financial status and procedures, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements to maximize profitability and minimize risk.

Key responsibilities & accountabilities:

  • Setting up, maintaining and supervising appropriate accounting systems, controls and compliance procedures to deal effectively with financial transactions relating to clients, accountholders, suppliers, banking, cash and payroll
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for all companies within the Group, ensuring filing of all returns on a timely basis. Assess the impact of future accounting standards. Coordinating audit/review of overseas subsidiaries.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts & supporting schedules, along with commentary to enable faster more accurate decision making
  • Monitor company business performance against plan challenging reasons for under-performance and assess adequacy of remedial action where appropriate
  • Ensuring the company adheres to best accounting practice, financial and commercial management procedures to ensure successful implementation of the agreed policies
  • Strong direction and leadership of the finance team in all aspects of their work to ensure high standards. Work effectively with the operational finance team and data reporting team.
  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of financial management reports including but not limited to company operating plans, budgets, forecasts and variance
  • Reporting of Finance related KPIs in a clear and accessible manner for non-finance staff
  • Controlling day-to-day cash movements including bank transfers and cash flow planning to facilitate business operations.

Skills & knowledge required:

  • Leadership capability to deputise for the CFO and lead and inspire the finance team
  • Essential to have line management experience
  • Digitally literate across MS Office suite, in particular Excel
  • Strong interpersonal skills and good communicator across a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines
  • Self-starter who can manage and structure their own time effectively
  • A completer-finisher with good attention to detail Flexible attitude
  • Use of initiative and proactive in approach
