A global Financial Services firm investing in Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Debt seeks the talents of a finance professions to lead their Operations function, serving as the no 2 in the London office.

Operations

  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision;
  • Oversee operations of the company
  • Provide technical and procedural support with respect to accounting standards, fund administration, tax structuring, UK entity liquidation;
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
  • Evaluate business procedure efficiency in light of organizational objectives and apply improvements;
  • Review financial information and create/reforecast operational budgets to promote profitability;
  • Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics;

Financial Control

  • Review financial information and create/reforecast operational budgets to promote profitability;
  • Evaluate country & business line performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics;
  • Providing commentary, approval and/or analysis on billable hours, budget variance & write-offs;
  • Management of monthly KPIs.

Resource Management

  • Foster a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices, customer focus and service and integrity;
  • Maintain a positive work environment to attract, retain and motivate employees at all levels;
  • Coordinates with human resources department on staff recruitment and retention;
  • Motivate employees to maximise efficiency, performance to meet/surpass organisational goals;
  • Provides mentoring to all employees and encourage continuous professional development;
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth;
  • Promote communication between colleagues for the benefit of information flow and problem resolution.

Business Development

  • Collaborate with the MD on medium to longer term plans for corporate growth and evolution
  • Participate in expansion activities such as the integration of newly acquired business and personnel;

Profile

Given the nature of the role, we are looking to hear from those with a background in the fund management industry, where they have worked on private equity, real estate or infrastructure funds. You could currently be working in a senior finance/leadership role within an Investment Manager, a Senior Manager/Director in audit managing a portfolio of investment funds or a Director level finance professional working for a Fund Administrator.

The business is looking for those with excellent organizational and leadership abilities as well as outstanding communication and people skills.
