• Preparation of accurate and timely financial and taxation information ensuring compliance with legal and accounting standards
• Assisting the Group Financial Reporting Manager in producing accounts and disclosures, interim statements and interim management reports
• Working closely with Group Financial Reporting Manager to prepare and review information for bank presentations and results announcements
• Working with members of the Group financial reporting team to deliver monthly/quarterly/half yearly reconciliations including net debt, contract accounting, intercompany accounts, share capital and share options, secured loans, etc
• Continual review and update of YE and HY consolidation packs, processes and instructions
• Assisting the Group Financial Reporting Manager to develop a response to developments in IFRS, UK GAAP, Companies Act etc.
• Preparing subsidiary and JV statutory accounts in accordance with Company Law and UKGAAP including liaising with divisions and Company Secretarial as required
• Preparation of corporation tax packs and taxation analysis for the PLC, subsidiaries and JVs, and liaison with professional advisors and authorities
• Statutory accounts for submission to HMRC
• Ad hoc financial accounting and taxation analysis as required

Personal Characteristics:

• Qualified financial accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA)
• Extensive knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
• Good team player
• Able to work upon own initiative
• Attention to detail
