Finance Analyst Position at a leading Media Group:

Our client, renowned for maximizing performance through collaboration, trading, content creation, and digital innovation, is seeking a Finance Analyst to join their Finance Team based in central London.

Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, this role entails the timely and precise preparation of monthly management accounts for reporting to both management and global stakeholders.
The successful candidate will excel in detailed variance analysis and will collaborate with the transactional team on Payables, Receivables, and reporting.
Additionally, this role will support key financial objectives aimed at enhancing operational efficiencies within the team and the broader business.

Day2Day Responsibilities:

Execute month-end processes, including accruals, prepayments, and journal preparation adhering to relevant principles.
Prepare monthly Management Accounts reconciled to TB and conduct monthly variance analysis and exception reporting.
Ensure compliance with internal controls through month-end folder preparation and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
Facilitate Group reporting by liaising with regional and global teams, submitting commentaries, and preparing quarterly and year-end packages.
Engage in business partnering activities, providing analytical support and adding value to operational teams.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives, reviewing processes, and implementing enhancements for better control and efficiency.
Address ad hoc queries from Finance Plus and undertake additional projects as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

ACA/CA/CAANZ Qualified
Experience in Audit and/or an FP&A function
Intermediate/advanced level proficiency in Excel.
Organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to adapt to changing work allocation and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills.
Enthusiastic with a proactive attitude, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
