Internal Recruiter

Due to Marks Sattin's growth and increased volume of hires, we are seeking an experienced Consultant/In House Recruiter to join our office in London. You will assist with all UK and Ireland hires and will also have opportunity to assist with the wider brands of The Five Ten Group.

Purpose of the role:

Ensuring our businesses achieve their head growth targets cost-effectively, whilst also contributing to the development of strong employer brands, helping each region to become the employer of choice in its specialist markets.

Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To work closely with the managing directors & directors to agree manpower plans, hiring priorities, role profiles and specific headcount targets.
  • To devise and implement appropriate recruitment strategies to attract "best in class" candidates. (These will be consist of Graduate, Commercial Experience, Relevant Sales/Technical Experience as well as experienced Consultants/Managers and Directors)
  • To ensure that the full range of candidate attraction tools and methods are employed to achieve our targets.
  • To inform and influence the development of resourcing collateral and support material that is fresh, distinctive and convincing.
  • To manage and conduct thorough market mapping across our operating sectors. This will involve the continual identification of the organisation structures, prime targets and rising stars within our competitors. (This must be executed with the rigour, detail and subtlety necessary to make this intellectual property a source of competitive advantage)
  • To ensure that this information is recorded and maintained accurately on a well structured and secure candidate database.
  • Liaising systematically with selected potential candidates to convert them eventually.
  • To ensure those interviewing keep the Internal Resourcing team abreast of all hiring activity.
  • To source candidates directly and achieve personal headcount targets.
  • To devise and manage effective candidate referral scheme.
  • To manage graduate assessment centres effectively. Provide specialist recruitment advice, coach and support hiring managers in the implementation of best practice recruiting.
  • To contribute effectively to the development of a marketing programme to underpin candidate attraction and employer branding.
  • To provide timely, accurate and well presented management information to the Managing Directors.
  • To work seamlessly with the sales teams including the Leadership team.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Significant experience as a recruiter, either as a consultant or on the in - house client side.
  • A good understanding of the techniques and practicalities of market research / mapping, networking and headhunting.
  • Good IT skills, with particular experience of database management.
  • A methodical, rigorous approach and good attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic, the ability to make things happen and to multi - task effectively.
  • The appetite to recruit personally at the "sharp end".
  • The social confidence, poise and sales skills to approach people effectively.
  • Excellent time management skills meeting deadlines and targets.
  • Accurate planning and organising skills.
  • Works productively in a high pressure environment.
