Our client is a well know manufacturer of FMCG products and they are looking for a junior purchase ledger clerk to join their rapidly expanding team. Reporting to the accounts payable manager some of your main duties will include the following;

Processing a high volume of invoices; including the matching, batching and coding of them.

processing of around 100 invoices.

processing of supplier statement, bank, petty cash, credit card and cash book reconciliations on a monthly/ weekly basis

BACS, CHAPS and cheque payments

monthly accruals, prepayments and expenses

general ad-hoc duties inclusive of the liaison with suppliers on the telephone and by email

this is an excellent opportunity within an excellent company to gain the relevant exposure needed to progress. The ideal candidate will be a junior individual who is not only both confident and articulate, but also who can stand his own. What's more you will have had at least 9 month's of previous experience or will still be looking for their 1st / 2nd role.
