• Position: Major Supplier Accounts Payable Assistant
• Location: Accrington
• Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
• Reporting to: Head of Transactional Finance

Fantastic new opportunity to work for one of the biggest and fastest growing technology distribution companies in the UK and worldwide. Due to increased business levels, this team now has various openings for proven AP Assistants to join this really friendly, close-knit team.

The successful candidate will become part of a company that supports and rewards their staff for their hard work and achievements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Managing all aspects of AP on behalf of major suppliers
• Liaising with international suppliers
• Handling complex query investigations, and working within SLAs
• Acting as a real team player and responding quickly to business demands
• Assisting in providing MI for month end meetings
• Communicating effectively with line management and finance/non-finance colleagues
• Processing supplier payments
• Overseeing payment runs
• Ensuring payments are made in line with KPIs and SLAs
• Working closely with treasury and core finance team in line with monthly processes
• Post direct debit payments from the bank statement, and allocate
• Identify and chase VAT invoices where required
• Managing Supplier statement reconciliations
• Assisting with any ad hoc project work or duties that need to be completed in line with business strategy

Requirements:

Proven track record managing key supplier accounts

• Excellent Excel skills
• Ability to work independently
• Come from a fast paced background
• Strong communication and analytical skills
