A well-established, private equity-backed company in the travel and leisure industry, based in the South of Manchester is looking for a CIMA/ACCA qualified Management Accountant, to join their team. You will be reporting directly into the Group Financial Controller and Finance Director. Your main duties will include:

* Preparing profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
* Producing the budget and quarterly forecasts
* Providing a support service by working with all departments and the management team to help make financial decisions
* Assisting with the audit preparation work to allow for timely completion of the annual financial statements and corporation tax returns
* Analysing financial performance and so contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
* Offering professional judgment on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance
* Interpreting and communicating financial data to non-financial managers
* Liaising with other function managers to put the finances and accounts in context

This role will ideally suit someone who is ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified. They would have a strong academic background and have a level of previous experience in a role similar to this one. The ideal candidate would have sound and up to date knowledge of UKGAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and be able to effectively work with both financial and non-financial staff members.
