A hugely Acquisitive and exciting business based in York are now seeking to appoint a senior management accountant to join the management team. Reporting into an experienced financial controller this role will deal with the end to end life cycle of the management accounts including month end to TB, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet reconciliations. It is also expected this role will produce all the budgeting and forecasting and conduct adhoc analysis for the management team. Other responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts including the creation and posting of journals
• Inter-company transactions
• Financial analysis
• Maintaining fixed asset register, current assets and current liabilities with back up documentation for review
• Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register
• Stock counts and analysis
• Developing relationships with operational stakeholders
• Supervision of reporting staff and their development

Essentially this role is targeting a qualified ACMA/ACCA accountant with energy and drive to challenge the numbers and offer a solutions driven approach. A broad ranging role that will inevitably expand and grow and in a business that will undoubtedly offer career progression
