On behalf of a Retail/Wholesale client, we are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to take ownership of the monthly profit and loss account and balance sheet.

The role of Management Accountant deals with multiple currencies providing monthly analysis and reporting to key stakeholders as well as supporting on financial reviews and audits.

Key Duties for the position of Management Accountant:

• To manage and accurately account for the monthly profit and loss and balance sheet
• Prepare/and or review any monthly provisions and accruals
• To arrange the monthly recharges and repatriation of cash ensuring they are accounted for accurately by working closely with the rest of the finance team
• To prepare the VAT return for numerous entities
• To reconcile the intercompany on a monthly basis
• To explain and provide commentaries on monthly and year-to-date profit and loss account variances to key stakeholders
• To support in the review, creation and implementation of financial policies and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy and reliability of financial results and adherence to SOX

To be considered for the position of Management Accountant, candidates must be/have:

• CIMA, ACCA or ACA fully qualified
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and MS Excel skills
• Experience of monthly and month end reporting - including preparation of reporting packs, commentary, key analysis and routine accounting tasks

Package on offer for the successful Management Accountant:

• £38,000 - £42,000 basic (potentially some flex for more experienced candidates)
