The Role
- Finance contact for site Operations Management and working very closely with the Head of Finance
- Full responsibility for the preparation and ownership of standard costs / costing - ensuring end to end and site profitability targets are met.
- Full production of UK accounts and all associated management reporting, feeding into to the European group HQ.
- Maintain standard costs across the site, develop systems to ensure these are adhered to, and use these to drive successful & profitable trading & product development decisions.
- Prepare Budgets & Forecasts for the site, in particular focusing on factory efficiencies, overhead spend and labour usage.
- Forex/Hedging
- Responsible for managing site CAPEX, both preparing proposals and monitoring spend and performance
- Encourage site profit enhancing initiatives and ensure that deliverables are achieved
- Represent site at weekly P&L reviews with senior management
- Support with commercial analysis to help the trading team make the correct business decisions
The Person
- Be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA). Anyone nearing the end of their studies will be considered
- Manufacturing / FMCG sector experience
- Be tenacious and able to challenge the status quo
