Manufacturing Accountant / Cost Accountant

This role works closely with the Finance and Operations team to provide finance input and take responsibility for monitoring the performance of all operational areas of the site.

The role would suit someone with a background in both accountancy and manufacturing.

The role:

• Providing finance input to the operations team
• Evolving and running the factory performance monitoring systems
• Producing factory KPI's, working closely with the Factory Manager
• Carrying out product costing exercises
• Ensuring the business complies with climate change regulations
• Identification and reporting of cost saving and profit improvement initiatives in the operations environment
• Managing the business stock control and accounting procedures

Key requirements:

• Must have an accountancy background - a Qualified Accountant or Qualified By Experience
• Must have worked in the manufacturing industry in a finance capacity
• You need to have an understanding of a production site
• Good interpersonal skills are needed to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels
• Working knowledge of Sage 100 and an ERP system is highly desired
• The ability to build and manage robust performance monitoring and reporting systems
