Start your job searchThis is a 6-9 month Fixed term contract for a Payroll Specialist to join a Private Equity firm based in central London for a Hybrid basis!
They are looking for someone to join their team for maternity cover. Where you will be doing the payroll the London offices. They offer hybrid working (Tues-Thurs) in the office as well as some other great benefits!
Key Responsibilities
- Running multi in-house manual payroll for 200+ employees including:
standard payroll for individuals paid through a single legal entity
Payroll for employees who are either dual or triple contracted
LLP payroll for Partners/Principals within London partnership
- Manage the relationship with the outsourced payroll providers to ensure a seamless and error free service
- Manage tax code complexities and NIC deferments/refunds
- To complete all monthly Full Payment Submissions (FPS) and year end processes/submissions are made ensuring payroll compliance with HMRC & the Pension regulator
- Manage and administer the country benefits schemes on a day to day basis (France, Guernsey, London)
- To work with the UK team on general accounting needs - bank recs / Expense management / AP process
- Assist with the month end close process
- To effectively monitor the current benefits offered to employees
- To effectively process and upload monthly pension contributions into the various pension schemes
Desired Experience
- Proven track record in a payroll role requiring client interface ideally within private equity, asset management, or other financial services (Not a necessity)
- Strong academic background, ideally with successful completion of an accounting qualifications with a recognised Accounting Institute (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, AAT etc)
- Experience in private equity or private credit sector, broader asset management sector would be desirable but not essential
- Ability to operate both autonomously and as part of a wider collaborative team
- To be able to start in the Jan/Feb time due to urgency
