I am currently working with one of the UK's largest retailers that are on the lookout for a Technical Payroll Specialist.

Where you fit in?

You'll be joining a developing fast pace business within a role that offers flexibility in your approach and method of working.

• Working part of a team to make sure 15,000 employees within the group are paid accurately and on time each month
• Evaluating the smooth operation of the company's payroll service within Employee Services in the right way for the colleagues
• Producing reports and analysing payroll data
• Working with and influencing key stakeholders across the business and responding to reports ensuring a smooth process and quick turnaround
• Supporting with Project activities within the Employee Services team
• Oversea the payroll control, audit and compliance

What you need…

You need to be the kind of person who is a self-starter with the ambition to progress within the business. You will have an excellent understanding of Payroll with Good knowledge of Compliance and Audit. You will be able to communicate and establish effective working relationships with colleagues and third parties, while demonstrating a positive 'can do' attitude and a strong team work ethic. Detailed and practical knowledge of statutory legislation, governance, processes and payroll control frameworks is essential and you will have excellent use of Microsoft Excel / Word and Outlook. Understanding how commission schemes work and experience using Oracle would be an advantage however not essential.
