A Product Controller position with a London based, private hedge fund manager that trades across a number of products and geographic locations and has won a number of top hedge fund awards.

The team are very collaborative and so are looking for someone who has a proactive mind-set as there is plenty of scope to get involved in other areas outside of the role as it is a very lean business. The role will be 60% P&L and 40% project/valuations work.

The Role

  • Production of P&L across different core trading desks and across many different product categories
  • Working closely with cross functional teams to ensure delivery of an accurate and timely P&L
  • Resolving issues surrounding the P&L
  • Daily conversations with senior Front Office staff - resolving any questions
  • Valuation Verification
  • Producing stats / performance measures for management.
  • Project work - trader requests, management requests, improving the process, set up of new products / desks / trading lines.

The role sits within their emerging markets team so it is important someone coming into this role already has experience working within this area - if possible.

They are looking to pay up to £52k plus bonus, and have some great benefits such as a 100% gym subsidisation, £3 subsidised lunch every day, Bupa healthcare, lovely new offices with showers etc. As well as being a sociable business with pub quizzes, team outings, summer/Christmas parties!

This role would suit someone who is looking to/already started studying a relevant qualification (e.g. ACCA) and they will fully support the costs towards this.

Requirements

  • Have 1-2 years experience of daily P&L production and ideally worked in a P&L controller function at a bank or a hedge fund
  • Experience of Emerging Markets products
