Job Description:
A leading bank with significant operations across the UK and MENA, is looking for the talents of a Regulatory Reporting Officer to take on a wide financial/regulatory reporting based role. The company have a vast and welcoming organisational culture that encourages teamwork and are looking for a driven individual who is keen to take on leadership duties with a strong degree of independence. This new opportunity would suit an individual who is experienced in the provision of producing prudential regulatory information. The role would support an individual who is keen for a very hands on exciting role, whilst working closely with Senior Managers and being a central part of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
This unique role would involve key engagement opportunities with Senior Management and would include being part of an expanding Finance team of around 6 other individuals with similar experience. In addition, the candidate would be responsible for the completion of Bank of England returns as well as other key financial and FCA returns. In turn, the candidate will provide a wide range of supporting roles such as assisting in the daily monitoring of regulatory compliance with a strong bias for liquidity management to overseeing quality control over a foreign branch of the organisation. Subsequently, this is a hands on role with a vast opportunity to work alongside a leading organisation that has a clear concise structure with a clear path for progression and would suit an individual who is looking to be a part of a growing company with a keen interest in keeping up-to-date with regulatory changes.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Degree educated.
- Qualified/Part-Qualified/Qualified by experience Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
- Significant regulatory capital / reporting experience gained within financial services/wholesale banking.
- Strong experience in MS Excel with a preferable knowledge of MS Access.
This would be an excellent role for an organised individual with an analytical way of thinking, with a strong tenacity for problem-solving. Additionally, this role allows for an individual to have the opportunity to develop their financial awareness whilst building on their technical expertise, specifically related to BoE/FCA/PRA returns with an understanding of liquidity data items (047/048). This role will ultimately allow the candidate to extend their learning curve and orchestrate a number of key processes working closely with senior management, whilst adopting a key role within the regulatory team.
This is a CV enhancing role that would suit someone keen to work in a finance team that has very low staff turnover and a sociable and outgoing working culture. Salary up to £45,000 base plus benefits and discretionary bonus.
