This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading world player in the property and construction industry. Our client, a FTSE 100 listed company is looking for a newly qualified Financial Accountant to cover an initial 6 month contract in central London. To apply for this role you must be a qualified ACA accountant (or equivalent) and preferable from a top 20 accountancy firm. This role will report to the Head of Corporate Finance and demonstrate the ability to frequently influence and communicate with senior colleagues at head office and in the business units.

Key responsibilities and requirements:

• Preparing the year end statutory audit and preparing statutory reports under IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Ensure accurate and timely reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts.
• Experience preparing and reviewing UK VAT returns.
• Review of intercompany accounts.
• Liaison with Auditors and other finance staff.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Perform various ad-hoc tasks as requested by Head of Finance.
