Start your job searchOne of the UK's leading wealth management firms, are looking for a junior accountant to join their financial control team.
The independently owned company have over 800 employees across 20 locations in the UK and currently manage and administer in excess of £24 billion.
Ideally they are looking for someone with internal or external audit experience, as the purpose of the financial control team is to establish and maintain, processes, controls and risk framework. They will support your studies towards either the ACCA or CIMA qualification.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensuring the finance owned policies and procedures are being adhered to and remain fit for purpose
- Assisting the development and enhancement of financial controls in the wider business
- Provide assurance over key monthly calculations and month end processes
- Provide assurance over statutory accounts and regulatory reports
- Supporting the balance sheet attestation process
- Provide support in the setting and monitoring of adherence to the Group's Treasury and Procurement policies
- Other ad hoc activities as considered appropriate
Requirements
- Must be studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) - If studying towards ACA must be willing to convert to ACCA
- Have around 18 months experience in a similar environment such as internal or external audit, or have been involved in SOX testing
