Marks Sattin are currently recruiting a Senior Credit Controller on behalf of a very well established £100million turnover business, based on the outskirts of Leeds City Centre (with free onsite parking).

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will be the number 2 in managing the day-to-day credit and collections process.

Duties will include however not be limited to;

  • Weekly Aged debtor and debtor performance reporting
  • Weekly Accounts Receivable Cash Forecast reporting
  • Daily Cash application management
  • Working to minimise overdue and debtor days
  • Working with key accounts and commercial sales teams to improve and maintain customer relationships
  • Maintaining credit limits for daily order release, involving regular credit checking of customers
  • Confirming customer credit debits & returns weekly
  • Assisting in setting up new customer accounts
  • Preparation of the Accounts Receivable month end bad debt provision & balance sheet reports and other ad hoc reports as required
  • Assisting with development of debtor controls and ensuring Audit compliance throughout all processes
  • Identifying potential debt issues to the Credit Control Manager and working with other departments to manage business risk

This is a role that will develop into staff management with time, due to business growth.

The successful candidate will have;

  • A solid background within Credit Control
  • Experience in Credit Control reporting
  • The ability to work affectively as part of a team as well as standalone
  • Dealing with multicurrency would be desirable
  • Confident Credit Controller, with ability to make decisions and provide reasoning
  • Willingness to be involved in the transactional as well as higher-level aspects of the credit control role

Salary is ranging £27,000 - £30,000 depending on your level of experience

37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday

Hybrid working (2 office days and 3 days from home)

26 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
