Entrepreneurial and pioneering Financial Services Technology business seeks the talents of an experienced Financial Reporting Manager for a career propelling opportunity. With a corporate but down to earth working culture, the company are a well known household name and boast impressive offices in the City. Finance is a sociable 50 person team with the majority of senior management promoted from within. This new position would suit someone looking for a leadership role that would work closely with the Head of Finance and CFO and operate at the heart of the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Oversight of all financial reporting for the 3 main UK operating entities; your role will be to review all final month end numbers with your team handling the day to day accounting work.
- Management, leadership and development of a small finance team of c10 senior accountants, accountants and part qualified staff.
- Deliver value adding and informative internal management reporting by entity to senior executive management and Boards, including close liaison with finance colleagues from across the Group.
- Support ongoing process improvement and drive efficiencies around month end reporting.
- Work with the Head of Finance to consolidate all legal entity reporting and financial control activities under one team.
- Support ongoing upgrades and improvements to all finance systems.
- Key liaison point with Group Reporting team ensuring timely and accurate delivery of entity numbers at external reporting periods to enable them to produce statutory accounts.

Your background:

- Qualified Accountant (ACA/CA or equivalent) with a proven track record in a similar senior financial reporting based role. Ideally this will have been gained in a large global multinational business in either financial services or commerce and industry.
- Knowledge of financial accounting standards, best practice controls and their practical application.
- Proven experience in a management and team leadership role.
- The ability to build strong working relationships with global colleagues.
- Pro-active behaviour that demonstrates initiative and positive work ethic to ensure activities are delivered to the required time, budget and quality.
