A well known and publically listed Banking and Financial Services Group is seeking a Big 4 Transaction Services / Decision Support professional to join as a Senior Business Analyst within Group Business Analytics. This is a very high profile position with lots of opportunity to develop a long term career in the organisation and the expectation that you'll move internally and gain promotion within 18 months to 2 years.

The Group Business Analysis team is an incredibly visible and well recognised area within finance, with frequent exposure to ExCo and the Group CFO and strong internal backing from a host of senior executives. The team is responsible for commentary and analysis in monthly reporting to the Group Management Board, the quarterly Group boards reports, the annual operating plans, as well as the "management discussion and analysis" commentary in the external annual and interim reports. The team liaises closely with global business finance functions to develop an in depth understanding of developments within their particular focus area and to investigate and understand variances to enable informed commentary writing. The team also works closely with the Group Strategy function.

Previous team members are now in a variety of senior roles across front, middle and back office with a proven track record of rapid career advancement for those joining this elite unit.

Your background is likely to be:

  • ACA or CA qualified from the Big 4 with a background in transaction services, advisory or equivalent. Alternatively similar Group level Business Analytics experience from a FTSE 100 or multinational company environment.
  • Exposure to the Banking and Financial Services sector would be helpful but isn't necessary.
  • 2.1 degree or equivalent.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complicated financial issues clearly and concisely.
  • Plenty of personality and ability to build up positive and productive relationships with stakeholders from all backgrounds.

For immediate consideration please apply online or for more information or a confidential discussion, please contact Glen Roberts at Marks Sattin on 02073215000 or email glen.roberts@markssattin.com
