A global business services company is currently looking for a Solution Architect for an initial 6 month contract to be based in West London.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain IT's target infrastructure architecture
- Working closely with Project teams to ensure common understanding of the technology being used and to validate the appropriate technology platform to be used for a project.
- Provide detailed support and guidance in the transition of Infrastructure to be implemented such that, where appropriate, legacy systems can be retired.
- Accountable for the definition of solutions designs which balance the needs of the business with the Use of Technology Strategy
- Working with project delivery teams in developing solutions that are secure, highly responsive, scalable, highly available and resilient in the face of failure dependent components and systems
- Creating and delivering innovative end-to-end solution designs for products that meet the requirements of the sponsor while maintaining the overall integrity of the Technology
- Work with the Business and IS teams in the maintenance and construction of their system roadmaps.
Skills & Qualifications
- A degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business or related field, or commensurate experience
- Proven track record as a Solutions Architect within a large Enterprise environment
- Experience of working within a service transition environment would be desirable but not essential.
