An innovative Sports FMCG branded-goods business seeks a commercially astute and strategically adept finance professional to join their fast growing SME.
Our client is focused on rapid growth (both organically and through acquisitions) over the next 3-5 years. You will join an excellent executive team with strong shareholder backing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Business partner and collaborate with the CEO, Board members and senior leadership team to drive profitability and growth through effective strategic planning and manage investor relations.
- Management of banking relationships and working capital with a strong emphasis on cost control.
- Optimize efficiency in the finance function as number one, ensuring the correct practices are in place to support a growing and robust business.
- Partner with directors across sales, marketing and e-commerce functions to enhance operational strategies and optimise business profitability.
- Oversee cash flow performance and working capital against budget and medium term forecasts
- Active participation in commercial negotiations, deal structures, pricing etc.
- Utilize international and broad-distribution channel perspective when considering growth options
Ideal candidate profile:
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/ACMA/MBA) with experience as a financial number 1.
- It is essential the successful candidate has experience of working in an FMCG branded-goods environment either in retail/wholesale or online/internet.
- A natural leader with the gravitas to direct the financial and accounting strategy of the business.
- Energetic individual who is detail and deadline orientated.
