A brand new opening for a Technical Data Manager / Data Manager / Data Set Manager / Metadata Manager / Data Steward to join a really exciting financial services company based in London has recently become available. You will be an integral member of the data science team, working a dual role which is predominantly aiding understanding on a multiplex data-set, with the added element of handling relations with third party providers.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has data at the core of what they do, someone who is passionate about SQL, Python and working with large, unstructured data sets. In addition to this, you will be an individual who has a strong attention to detail, an ability to solve complex problems, and work with both technical and non-technical individuals to resolve issues and build relationships.

As a Technical Data Manager / Data Manager / Data Set Manager / Metadata Manager / Data Steward you will be responsible for dealing with large and complex sets of data (including metadata) by preparing and sourcing, work with internal teams to resolve data issues and work with market data to map out and build new relationships.

Key Achievements & Responsibilities:

-) 3+ years' experience as Technical Data Manager / Data Manager / Data Set Manager / Metadata Manager / Data Steward

-) Be an expert in SQL, NoSQL and Python

-) Strong experience designing database tables

-) Have a strong competency to work with unstructured data sets

-) Evidence working with problem solving and communication skills

-) Exposure to working with market data / financial data is nice to have

-) Exposure to Numpy & Pandas
